This place is AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Everything is hand made. Ice cold beer and wine. Absolutely fantastic. Very small eating area in a screened in porch. Some outdoor tables. Carry out available. Jessica is your waitress and Ricardo is the owner/cook. 15 of us and no one was disappointed.

We went for dinner based on Yelp reviews. The good - Staff was pleasant. The average - Chicken enchiladas. The bad - The guacamole was 50% tomatoes, the beans were cold, the tacos were dry. This is not authentic Mexican and I wouldn't bother going back.

Definitely advise getting the pastor in anything or the verde enchiladas. Place is awesome and the owners make you feel at home.

This place is amazing! 1. The food! 2. Service is quick 3. Very good, low price, super cheap, but does not skimp on quality AT ALL! 4. I'm a person that likes food with flavor, this place has got it. 5. It looks different, but once you're sitting down you'll fall in love with the tranquility. Very awesome food. 6. Awesome service. COME HERE ALREADY! Side note I am a Colombian working in DC and I grew up in Miami, I know Hispanic food. And this place is the real deal.

Located where the taco shop was a great new authentic Mexican restaurant has opened. We tried a various dishes and they were all very fresh from the main courses to the side dishes. My wife had the enchiladas with the salsa verde and they were topped with fresh ingredients and the white cheese. She was very pleased with it. My daughter had a chicken taco on a freshly made corn tortilla and rice. Very good as well. I had the tres amigas plate that had chicken tacos, a gorditas with carnitas. And a beef Reno. All cooked to perfection. I have a pet peave about Mexican food served on a hot plate. I believe that food should not be served on the plate it is cooked on. In Mexico this never happens but all the local "Mexican restaurant" here all become more tex mex than authentic. The service is a little slow but that is fine because you can enjoy a cold beer while you wait. The service was very friendly and and the food will keep you coming back for more. They also do take out if you don't want to eat there.

Authentic Mexican. It functions basically like a food truck with covered seating. Great value for the prices - freshly made tortillas and flavorful meats and sauces. If you're looking for Tex-Mex, that's not what you'll find here, but definitely give it a try! A small investment to try something new and delicious.

Good carne asada tacos. Go during the winter or take out. No A/C! C'mon in FL you need to have air conditioned dining area.

Had a cheese enchilada and it was pretty good. A little dry but the cheese variety was good! Great service from the staff ... Pretty clean environment. Like most restaurants you still have to wipe off the bench seat because the bussers seem to forget that's where the food drops when the wipe the table!

It has been difficult for a business to succeed in this location. Let's support this one! The menu is small so hopefully they won't overextend themselves. The food is excellent!! Tasty and cooked perfectly.

I have eaten at a lot of Mexican dives before but this one ranks pretty high. The chicken enchiladas were great, I asked for red sauce instead of green and they were happy to accommodate. The queso had chunks of fresh tomatoes - YUMM! And my husbands burrito was fresh and wrapped in a homemade tortilla.

Doing authentic Mexican food the right way! Guacamole - fresh, perfectly seasoned, did I say fresh?! Portions the way they're supposed to be, enough to satisfy, not super sized. Will definitely become a regular...this is a gem of a taco stand/ Mexican cantina, not to be passed by!!

First time. Will be back. True Mexican food so you need to be aware some dishes may be to spicy so check first. Great setting with plenty of shade and breeze. Prices are very good. $7.99 for three enchiladas with beans and rice. Still will go to Jimmy's but this is going into the rotation.

After living near this location for a few years and seeing multiple restaurants move in and out, we were torn if we should try that "new place." I am so glad we did! The good and service are amazing. Everything we ordered was authentic and served fresh. I can't honestly think of a better place. I just recently dined at a Mexican place in Anaheim, CA that is the 62nd highest restaurant on Yelp in the USA and found myself comparing it to Tres Amigas and left there disappointed as they couldn't compete with my new local favorite.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
